The role involves assisting in delivering HR services that meet employee needs and business objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and procedures. Responsibilities include aiding in recruitment and hiring, administering employee benefits, coordinating employee development and orientation programs, maintaining employee relations, and supporting legal and compliance practices.
High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field, or a 2-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related major with no work experience required.
Ability to assist in interviewing, hiring, and networking with external recruitment sources.
Capable of supporting administration of employee benefits and unemployment services.
Skilled in assisting with new hire orientation and employee development to ensure successful job performance.
Experience in maintaining communication channels and employee relations.
Knowledge of compliance practices, including maintaining employee files, privacy, drug testing processes, and safety and security policies.
Ability to assist with managing Workers Compensation claims and collaborating with relevant teams for workplace safety and claim resolution.
Strong interpersonal skills to use an open door policy and appropriately escalate employee issues.
