The Associate Professor in Otorhinolaryngology will undertake teaching and related duties such as designing and developing teaching materials, conducting lectures and tutorials, student consultation, assessment, and examination invigilation. The role involves contributing to programme and curriculum development, implementing teaching strategies to optimize student learning, and supporting postgraduate research projects. The position also requires participation in scholarly research activities, including research projects, conference presentations, journal publications, and securing research grants. Additionally, the incumbent will engage in administrative responsibilities like attending meetings and participating in committees, as well as establishing linkages with external organizations or professional bodies.
Possess a Master Degree from a recognised university in Otorhinolaryngology, with PhD applicants preferred.
Must be registrable with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
Have experience working in a higher education environment with a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development, or have professional experience demonstrating coaching, mentoring, and high-quality presentation skills.
Have experience developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in teaching and learning.
Have experience working on research projects and activities or professional practice/consultancy work with evidence of appropriate outputs.
Demonstrate links to relevant external organisations and/or the profession.
