The Business Analyst at S&P Global Energy is responsible for collaborating with price reporters to gather requirements, analyze data processes, and manage releases that support the dissemination of data and content. This role involves translating business needs into detailed user stories, managing backlogs, and facilitating Agile processes to ensure effective project delivery.
The Business Analyst will collaborate with price reporters to collect requirements, conduct thorough analysis, and manage successful releases to enable S&P Global Energy to disseminate extensive data and content through multiple delivery channels. This role involves engaging with price reporters, translating business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria, mapping processes, identifying inefficiencies, managing backlogs, facilitating scrum ceremonies, supporting User Acceptance Testing, and delivering second-line support to ensure business continuity.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, with at least 4 years as a Business Analyst and 1 year in data lineage and analysis.
Proficient in Agile, Scrum, and LEAN methodologies, with strong critical thinking and communication skills.
Capable of translating complex business requirements into clear and testable acceptance criteria.
Experience managing project lifecycles and meeting tight deadlines.
Accountable for price reporters engagement, timely documentation, and follow-through on action items.
Proficiency in project management tools like Azure DevOps, Visio, Miro, and SharePoint.
Preferred knowledge includes Power BI, Python, Git, SQL, and familiarity with commodities markets.
Experience working with global teams.
