Role Summary

The Chef - Hot Kitchen/Pastry/Baker is responsible for preparing high-quality food and baked goods in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves collaboration with kitchen staff to ensure timely service while adhering to safety and sanitation regulations.

Job Description

In this role, you will work in a dynamic kitchen setting, focusing on hot kitchen operations, pastry, or baking. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and stock workstations for food preparation.
  • Prepare food and baked goods according to company standards.
  • Cook menu items in collaboration with kitchen staff.
  • Follow instructions from executive or head chefs.
  • Clean and maintain workstations and kitchen equipment.
  • Manage leftovers and ensure proper storage.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality food service while adhering to nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations.

Job Requirements

Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook.

Culinary school diploma is a bonus.

Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

Familiarity with industry’s best practices.

Strong accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
