Role Summary

The Clerk-Accounting is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and transactions. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization through diligent record-keeping and reporting.

Job Description

In this role, you will engage in daily tasks that involve checking figures, organizing files, and maintaining financial records in a professional environment. You will work closely with financial data and collaborate with team members to support the overall financial operations of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and proper coding.
  • Organize and maintain files, records, cash, and cash equivalents according to policies and procedures.
  • Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information.
  • Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
  • Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data using journals, ledgers, or computers.
  • Prepare and distribute various financial and payroll reports.
  • Complete period-end closing procedures and handle billing and invoicing in line with company standards.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

At least 1 year of related work experience.

Ability to organize and maintain financial records accurately.

Proficiency with computerized financial information and electronic spreadsheets.

Strong attention to detail for checking figures and documents for accuracy.

Commitment to confidentiality and protecting company and guest information.
