This role involves monitoring and improving key collections KPIs such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), aging of receivables, and collection effectiveness. The manager develops and implements strategies to reduce overdue accounts and bad debt, collaborates with internal teams like finance, sales, and legal to resolve payment disputes, and maintains strong relationships with clients to facilitate timely payments and address concerns. Additionally, the role ensures compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements and supports automation and process improvements within the collections function.
Strong leadership and management skills relevant to leading a collections team.
Ability to monitor and improve key financial and collections KPIs.
Capability to develop and implement strategies to manage overdue accounts and reduce bad debt.
Skill in collaborating with various internal departments including finance, sales, and legal to resolve payment issues.
Competence in maintaining client relationships to ensure timely payments.
