The Commis I at Sheraton Johor Bahru is responsible for preparing special meals or substitute items and regulating cooking equipment temperatures. The role includes ensuring the proper portioning, arrangement, garnish, and quality of food, maintaining food logs, and communicating with chefs and food service staff about menu specials and inventory. The Commis I also assists management with certain employee-related tasks and adheres to company safety and security policies while maintaining a professional appearance and positive work relationships.
Education at a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School level.
At least 3 years of related work experience.
Ability to work standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Strong communication skills using clear and professional language.
Team player with ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
Adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
