Job Description

The Commis at Sheraton Johor Bahru engages in daily food preparation tasks, working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position requires attention to detail and adherence to quality standards to ensure that all dishes meet the hotel's high expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Weigh and mix ingredients according to recipes.
  • Cook food following established recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and adhere to safety policies.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

At least 1 year of related work experience.

Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.

Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Ability to follow safety and security policies and procedures.

Willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
