The Facility Engineer role focuses on ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of hospital facilities. The engineer will oversee various systems, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while supporting the Hospital Engineer in administrative tasks.
The Facility Engineer will assist the Hospital Engineer in managing the operation, maintenance, and performance of all hospital building services, utilities, and infrastructure systems. Responsibilities include planning and monitoring maintenance, supervising contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing energy consumption. The role also involves preparing reports and supporting the Hospital Engineer in various administrative tasks.
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or equivalent technical discipline.
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in hospital or healthcare engineering management.
Familiar with Sarawak utility regulations (EIU), MOH/MDA requirements, MSQH standards, and ISO 9001/14001/45001 systems.
Strong technical knowledge of hospital electrical, mechanical, and biomedical systems.
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
Proficient in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and MS Office.
Possess or actively pursue the Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification as required under MSQH accreditation criteria.
