Job Description
The Infra Build - Cloud Network Engineer will be responsible for implementing and validating network infrastructure components within a secure AWS Landing Zone environment, as well as integrating with on-premises networks. The role includes hands-on configuration, functional testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer, with collaboration between cloud and traditional network teams to support VLAN segmentation, routing, and firewall integration during cloud build-out.
Job Requirements
Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and AWS networking components.
Experience with VPCs, subnets, route tables, Internet/NAT gateways, and VPC peering.
Knowledge of Transit Gateway, VPC endpoints, PrivateLink, Security Groups, Network ACLs, and Elastic IPs.
Familiarity with Route 53 DNS configurations.
Ability to set up hybrid connectivity using Site-to-Site VPN, Customer Gateways, and Transit Gateway attachments.
Experience validating routing, name resolution, and connectivity across cloud and on-premises environments.
Ability to collaborate with infrastructure teams on IP address planning, VLAN/subnet segmentation, firewall updates, and routing configurations.
Experience with network functional testing using tools like ICMP/ping, traceroute, NSLookup, telnet, and DNS checks.
Experience implementing monitoring and logging via VPC Flow Logs, CloudWatch, and AWS Network Manager.
Ability to create and maintain network documentation including IP plans, route tables, and connection diagrams.
Capability to conduct knowledge transfer sessions to client infrastructure and operations teams.
