Role Summary
The Intern, Cyber Security is responsible for assisting in the protection of the organization's information systems. This role involves hands-on experience in various aspects of cyber security, contributing to the overall security posture of AirAsia.
Job Description
As a Cyber Security Intern, you will rotate through Cyber Defence, Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC), and Security Project Management. You will engage in daily monitoring of security alerts and support incident response efforts in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Security Operations Center (SOC) in monitoring security alerts using SIEM and EDR tools.
- Support incident response for phishing reports and other security incidents.
- Participate in vulnerability scanning and risk assessments.
- Help identify digital risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Review security policies against industry frameworks like ISO 27001.
- Coordinate with project managers to track milestones and deliverables.
- Maintain technical documentation and reports related to security activities.
Job Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology.
Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
Foundational knowledge of common security threats and protection principles.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
Familiarity with security tools like Wireshark, Splunk, or Nessus is an advantage.
