
This role is for an Assistant Procurement Manager in a manufacturing company producing parts for various industries. The position involves collaborating with the procurement team to develop sourcing strategies, assist in contract negotiations, manage procurement processes, and work with internal teams to support procurement needs and inventory control.
The role involves collaborating with the procurement team to develop sourcing strategies, identifying suppliers, assisting in contract negotiations, qualifying new suppliers, managing the procurement process, and mitigating risks related to supplier performance and product quality. The position also requires working with internal teams to understand procurement needs, supporting sourcing during new product introduction, and overseeing inventory control and management reporting.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain/Purchasing from similar manufacturing industry.
Experience in technical engineering purchasing and sourcing for standard components would be beneficial.
Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations, cost savings initiatives, and process improvements.
Strong understanding of procurement best practices, policies, and regulations.
Proficiency in MS Office and experience with procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PowerBI).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Strategic thinker with a proactive mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
