
The Jr Chef is responsible for assisting the Sr Chef in daily kitchen operations. This role involves collaborating with the F&B service team to ensure high-quality dish preparation and presentation.
As a Jr Chef at Zakuro Japanese Cuisine, you will engage in daily kitchen activities, supporting the Sr Chef in various culinary tasks. You will have the opportunity to enhance your culinary skills while contributing to the preparation of both existing and innovative dishes. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in daily kitchen operations and food preparation. - Manage food costs and ensure adherence to recipes. - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. - Collaborate with the F&B service team for timely dish delivery. - Ensure dishes are served at the correct portion, quality, and temperature. - Participate in menu planning and development of new dishes. - Uphold kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
Diploma / Degree in Culinary Art or Food & Beverage
SPM with relevant experience may apply
Working experience in a Japanese restaurant is preferred
Strong understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
