Role Summary
The Building Automation Systems Technician (BAS Operator) is responsible for conducting preventive maintenance inspections on various building systems. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring safety and compliance with regulations while supporting the Health and Safety Manager in fire inspections.
Job Description
In this role, you will perform daily inspections and maintenance on building automation systems, elevators, escalators, and public address systems. You will collaborate with contractors to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed to standard and maintain accurate records of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on building automation systems.
- Liaise with contractors for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Support the Health and Safety Manager during annual fire inspections.
- Document all maintenance activities according to guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building systems.
Job Requirements
Minimum SPM or equivalent certificate.
At least 2 years of relevant experience.
Understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems.
Knowledge of electrical work and air conditioning.
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Strong communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Problem-solving abilities.
