Job Description
The role involves delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical classes in hospitality, tourism, and related subjects. It includes developing lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with program and accreditation standards, supervising student projects, internships, and research activities, and participating in curriculum review and enhancement. The position also requires engagement in scholarly activities and research, providing academic advice and mentoring to students, collaborating with colleagues and industry partners, assisting in organizing faculty events and networking activities, ensuring compliance with institutional and accreditation standards, and contributing to community engagement and promotional activities.
Job Requirements
Master's Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Culinary Arts, or a related field is required, with a PhD preferred.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., JPK, TVET, HACCP, ServSafe) are an advantage.
Minimum 2–5 years of teaching or relevant industry experience is required.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into classroom delivery is required.
Passion for student development and industry engagement is required.
Experience with curriculum development and accreditation processes is preferred.
Research and publication record in hospitality or tourism studies is preferred.
Industry networking and collaboration capabilities are preferred.
Leadership and teamwork in academic or operational settings are preferred.
