Role Summary

The Mainframe Developer (Application Development Management) - Cards is responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications on Mainframe ZOS. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with banking standards and managing the software development lifecycle.

Job Description

In this role, you will engage in day-to-day development activities, working with COBOL, CICS, JCL, and Easytrieve. You will collaborate with team members to ensure the successful delivery of application solutions in a dynamic banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, and Easytrieve.
  • Maintain existing applications and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ensure compliance with banking standards and change management processes.
  • Work with VSAM and Sequential Datasets for data management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Document development processes and maintain technical specifications.

Job Requirements

3-5 years of experience in Cardlink application development and delivery.

Strong technical skills in COBOL, CICS, JCL, and Easytrieve on Mainframe ZOS.

Hands-on experience with VSAM and Sequential Datasets.

Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) process.

Experience working with change management tools.

Background in the banking sector.
