The Market Financial Controller for North Asia acts as the key partner to the Market Finance Director across all financial areas. This role ensures effective control, policy compliance, and verification of financial statements and balance sheet reconciliation. The controller oversees risk management processes and compliance within the countries, monitors statutory audit and tax deadlines for timely submissions, and streamlines organizational structures including entity liquidation or amalgamation. Additionally, the role involves monitoring month-end close activities including group reporting packages, collaborating with operational teams such as Record to Report, Purchase to Payables, and Order to Cash on projects, and facilitating the adoption of accounting standards like local GAAP and International Accounting Standards. The controller also provides inputs on monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and handles ad-hoc duties including payment approvals and cash flow forecast reviews.
