Job Description
The Tax Associate will engage in daily tasks that include utilizing tax software to prepare and process returns, conducting compliance and reporting, and managing tax-related risks. The position emphasizes personal accountability, commitment to learning, and effective communication within a team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform compliance tax services for client engagements.
- Utilize tax software to prepare and process tax returns.
- Conduct compliance and reporting activities.
- Manage tax-related risks and control assessments.
- Research and consult on various tax matters.
- Interact with clients and government agencies, including the Inland Revenue Board and Ministry of Finance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
Job Requirements
Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, or equivalent.
Must possess or be currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification.
Candidates with 1-2 years of tax compliance work experience will have an added advantage.
Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Active participation in career development and training processes.
Strong ability to work collaboratively and share responsibilities.
Solid ability to prioritize and organize workload.
