
The Principal Legal Analyst - Energy Terms and Risk Asia is responsible for providing expert analysis on legal, commercial, and economic issues affecting the upstream oil and gas sector in Asia. This role supports various stakeholders by researching and assessing developments in contracts, regulations, and fiscal policies while collaborating across teams to understand the impact of energy transition regulations in the region.
In this role, you will work within the E&P Terms and Above-Ground Risk team, engaging in daily research and analysis to support companies, governments, and financial investors in the energy sector. You will collaborate with colleagues globally to address complex legal and commercial challenges in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law is essential.
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in the upstream sector in Asia.
Experience producing high-quality research and analyzing laws and contracts from multiple jurisdictions.
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to integrate qualitative and quantitative information.
Excellent writing and presentation skills in English.
Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
