Job Description

As a Recreation Manager, you will support the Director of Recreation in overseeing pool and beach areas, ensuring daily maintenance and operational efficiency. The role involves supervising staff, scheduling guest programs, and managing vendor relationships for activities such as water sports and scuba. You will be responsible for coordinating children's programs and group events while coaching your team to deliver exceptional service. Your objective is to maximize guest satisfaction and financial performance by maintaining high quality standards and effectively managing departmental supplies.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED with 1 year of experience in recreation/health club operations.

Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Hotel Management, Physical Education, or a related major.

Proven experience in supervising and managing employees within a hospitality environment.

Strong organizational skills to schedule events, activities, and staff work shifts.

Ability to manage outside vendors and coordinate specialized recreation services.

Experience in managing children's programs and large group team-building events.

Excellent interpersonal skills for coaching, mentoring, and conducting performance appraisals.

Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and upkeep for resort facilities.
