Job Description
As a Recreation Manager, you will support the Director of Recreation in daily operations, ensuring that all recreational facilities are well-maintained and that guest programs run smoothly. You will lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of pool and beach areas.
- Supervise and train recreation staff to ensure high service standards.
- Schedule and coordinate guest programs and activities.
- Manage vendor relationships for water sports and scuba activities.
- Organize children's programs and group events.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching to team members.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of resort facilities.
- Maximize guest satisfaction and financial performance.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED with 1 year of experience in recreation/health club operations.
Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Hotel Management, Physical Education, or a related major.
Proven experience in supervising and managing employees within a hospitality environment.
Strong organizational skills for scheduling events and staff shifts.
Excellent interpersonal skills for coaching and mentoring.
