This role is for a Sales Executive at Marriott responsible for assisting guests, increasing hotel bookings, and fostering loyalty. The position involves handling guest communications, utilizing sales techniques, supporting Sales & Marketing office operations, and maintaining company standards.
The Sales Executive is responsible for handling guest calls, requests, and problems by contacting appropriate individuals or departments as needed. They utilize sales techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty, including upselling and determining complimentary gifts. The role includes promoting brand awareness, processing reservation requests and changes, entering Marriott Rewards information, and performing general office duties to support Sales & Marketing. The Sales Executive also assists in training and motivating employees, follows company policies, maintains professional appearance, and provides excellent guest service in accordance with company standards.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
At least 2 years of related work experience.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Ability to perform general office duties such as filing, sending emails, typing, and faxing.
Capability to follow company policies and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
Teamwork skills to develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
Good listening skills and ability to respond appropriately to concerns.
Ability to monitor quality standards and ensure adherence to expectations.
Capability to read and verify information in various formats.
