Job Description
As a Senior Cook, you will engage in daily meal preparation and cooking, ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines and food safety standards. You will also assist in menu planning and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to standard recipes and dietary requirements.
- Plan cooking schedules to ensure timely meal delivery.
- Ensure food presentation meets hospital standards.
- Coordinate with Diet Aides for smooth workflow.
- Assist in menu planning and development.
- Comply with food safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies.
Job Requirements
Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent
At least 1-2 years of experience in a hospital, hotel, or institutional kitchen
Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO)
Strong understanding of hygiene standards and safe food handling practices
Ability to follow schedules and deliver meals on time
Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively
