The SPE - Medical Pre-underwriting Advisor is responsible for handling underwriting administrative tasks to ensure smooth processing of applications for enrolment and policy changes. This role requires a combination of operational, medical, and underwriting knowledge to maintain compliance and deliver quality outcomes.
Job Description
In this role, you will engage in daily underwriting administrative tasks, including processing new applications and participating in review meetings. You will also be responsible for quality assurance and ensuring that all activities align with established guidelines and business rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process new applications for enrolment and policy changes.
- Participate in review meetings to assess application quality.
- Capture and manage data related to underwriting tasks.
- Handle customer emails and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Prepare and validate underwriting letters for accuracy.
- File documents systematically for easy retrieval.
- Prepare audit and quality checking reports to ensure compliance.
Job Requirements
1-3 years of experience in medical, underwriting, or claims field.
Knowledge of medical conditions and medical insurance.
Good problem-solving skills and logical thinking.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude.
Strong sense of compliance, ethics, and integrity.
