Role Summary
The System Administrator is responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the stability and efficient operation of both Linux and Windows systems that support the organization's core information systems.
Job Description
The Senior System Administrator engages in day-to-day management of server infrastructure services, including monitoring, patching, and system management. This position also involves technical research and development to drive innovation within the infrastructure, while providing guidance to new system administrators for smooth onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision and install systems hardware and software.
- Configure and maintain Linux and Windows systems.
- Monitor server infrastructure services for performance and stability.
- Perform technical troubleshooting and support incident resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation for audit purposes.
- Design and engineer IT security tools and processes.
- Develop and deploy enterprise security plans, including firewall and antivirus solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to provide 24/7 support as needed.
Job Requirements
Strong knowledge of system hardware, operating systems, and software systems relevant to system administration.
Experience with both Linux and Windows system environments.
Ability to perform technical troubleshooting and support incident resolution discussions.
Capable of maintaining and updating technical documentation for audit purposes.
Knowledge of server infrastructure services including monitoring, patching, and systems management.
