Job Description
The Manager on the Corporate Strategy team will support the Southeast Asia (SEA) leadership teams and stakeholders in advancing strategic priorities aligned with the firm's vision. The role involves supporting the firm's corporate strategy and planning agenda, conducting primary and secondary research, data analysis, competitive analysis and benchmarking, strategy workshops, and firm communications. Additionally, the Manager will drive corporate development initiatives such as acquisitions, market scans, business case development, due diligence, post-merger integration, and may handle ad hoc strategic projects.
Job Requirements
Have a recognized degree from a top-tier academic institution.
Have experience in strategy, M&A, and advisory related functions from professional services or boutique advisory environments.
Have at least 6 to 8 years of relevant experience with a leading organisation, ideally in Consulting or Corporate Strategy from a strong brand.
Have prior experience in managing M&A transactions is an advantage.
Be a structured thinker with advanced knowledge in Excel based financial modeling and exceptional problem-solving ability, logical reasoning, attention to detail, creative thinking, and the ability to untangle complex issues.
Demonstrate adaptability and a 'can do' attitude to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with a strong willingness to learn and contribute to a high-performance culture.
Be experienced in structuring and developing presentation materials for formal communications (internal and external).
Have excellent interpersonal skills to establish relationship with stakeholders.
Have leadership qualities and the ability to mentor.
Reside in Malaysia and be authorized to work in Malaysia as this position is based in Malaysia and requires minimal travel.
