Role Summary
The Team Lead, Finance - Record to Report (GL) is responsible for overseeing the delivery of end-to-end R2R processes within an offshore accounting support service centre. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong financial controls while developing a high-performing team.
Job Description
In this role, you will manage daily operations related to general ledger activities, month-end and year-end close processes, and financial reporting. You will work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes efficiency and service excellence, guiding your team to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of general ledger activities.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supervise fixed asset accounting.
- Prepare and present financial reports.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing R2R team.
- Maintain strong financial controls and compliance.
- Drive process efficiency and service excellence.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of relevant experience in Record to Report (R2R).
At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
