No cons as such for now.

Very individualistic environment, despite Capco's team building attempts. People your level are very competitive and often perceive you as competition. Certain projects/clients requires your engagement for many hours a day, organisations prefer to push external resources rather than affect their own employees work-live balance. To much importance given to community activities, which are impossible to follow up if you are spending 10h a day on your core delivery. Therefore your colleagues working on simple and less intensive projects have more time to dedicate to community, get visibility and get promoted. Recruiters should be better prepared, Prone to make emotional decisions based on perception biases, they don't fully understand/valuate candidates experience .Don't worry once you pass the first interview, the second stage is with well prepared experts, this will be your opportunity to be prised for your knowledge. Many people I know been contacted with poorly structure offers which weren't matching their experience.

- Many roles posted are not sold and if they expire they remain on the portal - Partners are feuding with one another - Lack of communication especially if projects are in jeopardy due to funding - Over sell projects and staff inexperienced consultants - Very cut throat and lack of empathy for their employees

Variety of projects is limited and at senior levels getting a Project is difficult

Work life balance can be tough for some projects Yearly increment Not very good projects for techies

Very competitive when it comes to finding a project. If you're not on a project after a certain amount of time on the bench they'll let you go.

Leadership is inconsistent. Some are great and very effective at managing projects. Others struggle with communication and some are even disrespectful to those below them.

Changes since Wipro acquisition of Capco

Can’t think of any- the culture is very different than other consulting / service companies

The pitch and process as you interview is great, you soon realise the absolute lack of direction and strategy from "leaders" in the business starting at the very top, Hire and fire mindset and even more toxic HR function If there's any interest in joining a consulting/advisory firm, this is not it.

Work life balance is subjective and dependent on team/project Single digit hikes,even for promotion

Difficulty in progressing due to the backlog of people waiting for promo

- Zero support or training - Was onboarded and then sent to client meetings without any understanding of the roles, expectations, correct ways to approach engagements, etc. - Computer was sent with zero peripherals. - "Coach" was never available - TONS of wasted time and effort without up front direction and expectation setting

No code Tech stacks With so many clients across different projects Reaching out to the right person to help with a particular problem could be a pain most of my time I spent learning a new technology on the fly, why grateful for that, it could also be a problem if performance is compromised by working with something outside your field of expertise

Short sighted hiring last year/two (over expansion) has crippled the company. High churn and not rewarding talent. Clique-y upper management. Performance review process is flawed and totally luck dependent.

1. Slower progressions than what is advertised

Projects are limited your profile can be changed anytime. ex- finance person can be transfer to BA profile

Subjective performance evaluations (i.e. favouritism). If they like you, they will find whatever reason they need to justify a promotion and vice versa if they don't.

You can not stick for specific technology. You have to be ready to take any kind of role.

The work environment at this inadequate company requires non-stop activity from 9-5. Despite superior performance, the unpredictable management remains unfulfilled. This is a perpetual cycle to steer clear of. It resembles a flawed assembly line, resulting in disillusioned employees. Participating will only result in a depleted spirit soul.

Once you are on bench very few people reach out to you to get into the project

Excel work which is of no use when it comes to skills and growth Always there is fear of thrown into bench after project timeline If you join capco you will decay your career n throw ur skills into dust bin

As a consulting frim, Capco often deals with demanding clients and tight deadlines.

Not really any incovenience in my opinion

Terrible management and leads of Hong Kong. Do not promote growth opportunities or help you succeed
