Consultant
Good social events Colleagues of varying backgrounds, diversifying skills Great development classes
Performance and opportunities arise if you're in the right cliques
Regular performance reviews with helpful guidance.
Multi-levelled company so discussions on performance can be based on self-evaluation.
Associate consultant
Friendly environment, work life balance
Stressful sometimes and lack of resources at the project
Large client base allowing learning and acquiring skills
No career development. Billing, billing, etc…
Data scientist consultant
some interesting project, high attrition
Still growing so unclear in many aspects
One big pool of resources, unlike big4 with many different business area classified.
Associate talent program is not a structured program. They train entry level people for 2-3 weeks, then put them into projects. Salary increment very small, bonus very small, and career path unclear. You might not get promoted even after 2 yrs. Some projects are super chill, some projects very demanding. Yet same rewards.
Senior consultant
Very flexible in terms of WFH and work pressure
Less visibility of portfolio at client end
Often part of a wider Capco team within your role - Ensures you’re supported where required. Equally, you have autonomy to excel.
Promotion can be a long winded process across several review periods
Good work life balance, community events, pay
Hemorrhaging talent for competing firms
