Senior consultant
Less pressurizing environment Decent work
1. You become eligible for Promotions at 2 years 2. HR & Admin literally never respond 3. Appraisals are dismal 4. No onsite opportunities
Anonymous employee
Flat organization and meritocracy. Talented consultants all around. Well compensated comparable with big-4.
some times projects are not as much fun and extreme focus on billability to pay the bills
Consultant
Atmosphere is laid back for the most part. Culture is inclusive. Benefits are okay.
If you’re unfamiliar with consulting you will get eaten alive and spit back out. The whole premise of the job is to be as marketable as possible to clients and if you’re not then best of luck but you will most likely not last long.
-Great work life balance. Capco has drawn lines with clients for its employees in terms of work hours and overtime. OT and extra hours are not encouraged by the company unless really required. - Good initial pay compared to competitors like CTS, Accenture, TCS etc. -More visibility of your work and initiatives due to the small employee strength in India. -Easy going & professional work culture and mature workforce.
- Bonus and yearly hike are average. Your hike will still be better compared to your bonus. Bonus for a 4 rating can sometimes be 50 - 70k. This may be further impacted post Wipro take over of Capco. - Your experience here will depend largely on the client you are working for. Some established and mature accounts will give you generally good work stability and experience. Some other clients who are not known for great work culture will give you a bad experience. Account leads will also be a factor in terms of how your grievances are addressed. - Impact of Wipro takeover. Appraisal cycle has been changed from Jan to Dec to April to March. Bonus and hike payout will now be effective June.
Could be a good job if you are lucky enough to have a good client
A lot of these clients are investment banks, which imply a good amount of work, management tries their best to sell you to the clients and give you pressure, people are so fake, do not trust the good things they say about you or the clients, use your own judgement
It all depends on the Client/Program If youre lucky and the client is great - you'll have a great time with great work life balance. if not then it can be difficult,
ditto that which is in cons
