Micromanagement sometimes will occur often

due to corona virus, just a handful of people are actually working from the office.

Sadly, you might be overlooked and project work may be forced upon you with quick turn around as a consequence.

Cargill can be complex to understand as a company.

Company seems in a constant state of restructuring and realigning so no one can keep track of current safety rules and requirements.

group lacks leadership and direction. Not a great group to be in to move up the organization.

Their HR reduction was based off of favorites and was very poorly rolled out and the corporate executives were not transparent and did not communicate well.

Poor pay for most levels of the organization. Working on it, but lagging.

It’s very cold inside due to having to maintain product cold.

Although the company itself it global but it has been operating in Thailand for about 50 years so sometime the culture can be a little traditional.

Can be tough on body

Very corporate structure, many layers complicate getting anything productive done, employees move positions a LOT so depth of talent is lacking in many instances

Takes forever to get go higher

Management runs this office as a sweatshop - no regard for individual effort, innovation, or hard work

Politics, and groupism will be found. Biased

How out of touch the management is to real world issues

Large company can be difficult.

Don't always feel like your involved

- there are some in Cargill who has been working there for too long and does not really understand the outside world. - the old guards still think that Cargill is king of the world in their industry when in reality today’s world is very different and our competitors are not to be underestimated - too internally focused. So although they claim to be customer focused, not everyone thinks this way. - too much bureaucracy and the downside of listening to all, is the tendency to satisfy everyone is too high. This leads to a long time in making any decision, if this happens at all. - the recent restructuring of the functions have created silo mentalities.

The management is cliquey and you have to know the right people to get ahead, otherwise you will be stuck in your role

Less guidance from management More independent

People dont have time to do their actual jobs because corporate kept reordering responsibilities to save money. They dont want to pay pple enough for a degree. Environment was a little bit sexist.

I have no complaints about working for Cargill

Opportunities for growth can be slow.

Lack of advancement in terms of electronic record keeping

Unwilling to invest in equipment that works. Extremely toxic culture in the Bio R&D and CSST R&D MRDC building. Lots of finger pointing as to why equipment doesn’t work rather than active collaboration just to actually help get equipment to work. Lots of large egos.

Conditions, hours, improvements, corporate, training

Everything else about them stinks badly

Long hours are normal, no work life balance.

On call 24/7 for trains. 25% of salary comes from working overtime hours.

The shifts are 12 hours long, and many areas have to work a night shift at some point. Upper upper management really don’t give a hoot how their decisions affect anyone except themselves (IMO), but this is probably true for lots of companies.

Highly globalized organization, sometimes that becomes an obstacle.

Poor work-life balance in operations. Low tech

Large company, some lack of standardization, change can be slow.

-Can be high stress -Physically demanding on occasion -Long shifts - occasionally have to work weekends

They do not want people to think. They hire highly skilled and experienced professionals than make them do entry level job.

Leadership was a evolving door. It's hard to build a great team when the leader is someone new every 18 months.

Large organisation with many functions

Long hours, mandatory OT if someone cant come in.

the only con i saw was low salary
