The people are the best asset of the company. Too bad that a lot them are leaving Chubb after the acquisition by ACE
After the ACE acquisition, all the focus now is the speed to the market without sufficient quality control and risk management
Senior claims examiner
It was a dynamic, fast paced company when I was there. Opportunities to learn the business, were endless. Good benefits, Pension and profit sharing.
Even at that point, staff was stretched too thin (claims side), and middle management, "talked the talk", but didn't "walk the walk".
Room for growth, good work life balance.
I do not have any cons.
Underwriting associate
great company that has not lost it's commitment to take care of their employees. no complaints on the benefits packages although a gym incentive would be nice.
company was just acquired, a lot of awkwardness and some mistrust
i decided i wanted to switch career paths and the company was very encouraging.
At this moment I cannot think of any cons. It is a great company to work for.
Accountant
Good compensation. Friendly and professional co-workers.
Company was bought by ACE Limited.
Research analyst
-Management is very helpful and my co-workers have been great
-So far I can not complain
Large company... people get paid a lot to do nothing
The merger still has many grumpy and bitter and it is not a fun environment. Business units compete with one another.
Underwriter
I enjoy the people around me, and I enjoy my job.
Decisions will be made from the top, whether or not it's feasible, but this is with other corporate cultures too.
Senior vice president
Outdated brand name but also buying outside talent that didn’t need to be bought financially.
They have to hire outside talent because Ace has taken over since the merger. It’s not the legacy Middle Market Chubb you remember that had class.
