Unclear Career Development Not Many Opportunities For Advancement Unorganized Staff Distracting Working Environment Difficult Training
Senior analyst
Because Chubb is such an enormous institution, there are so many opportunities for growth. I did not always have supportive managers, but there was plenty of room to move around vertically and horizontally to find what worked. I felt I was paid well for my level of experience.
It's a very conservative environment - as are most insurance/FIs. There is a culture of fear in some cost centers but the profit centers have a lot of fun.
Senior claims adjuster
Nice people and interesting work
Loads of admin and management layers
Environmental underwriter
Great people, effective management, welcoming environment, thorough training, inclusive, diverse, great benefits
Work life balance can easily become a challenge if you want to excel, large meetings are frequent and can be tedious or irrelevant to your role
Anonymous employee
Excellent brand and people from the original Chubb
Bullying culture. Teamwork is not promoted - each man for himself. Long hours expected by leadership, for employees to complete tasks that are of little value.
Manager
Training is good, people are nice and helpful.
As with many companies, Chubb now expects more with less. Really pushing the work-in-office/hybrid 3/2 work schedule. Technology is terrible. They don't seem to want to retain talent.
