Product manager
Dell is a big company with all the challenges of a large company(process, systems, red tape) but a lot of good people work there. And Dell does produce good products. The medical for employees is very good.
Every 2 quarters, you're not sure if it's your turn to be laid off. Even though Dell is consistently profitable, it's all about the numbers.
Technical support engineer 2
Good work culture Good salary Opportunities to upskill
Frequent Management changes No Hybrid option
Softear engineer
Dell is very Employee friendly company
Compensation can be a bit better
Senior business intelligence analyst
Work life balance, skill development
Limited access to fast upward mobility
Ux writer
Fair base salary and bonus, great individual contributors on most teams, best manager I've ever had
Soulless executive leadership, layoffs regularly every year (I was finally affected after dodging it for nearly 4 years), business does not care about their customers/users needs, product design decisions are made by out-of-touch senior leaders that compromise the end product (and it shows), minimal opportunities for vertical or lateral career movement even when you have great year end reviews (dead end for most)
Senior advisor
Nice people and at that time there was a work-life balance
Management is biggest issue in this company
Software engineer 1
- Great salary range - Not much office politics - Flexible timing
- Promotions tend to happen very slow
Anonymous employee
Good work life balance, Good leadership
Slow growth, Too much hierarchy Compensation could be higher to be commensurate with the market
Senior software principal engineer
Compensation is good, senior leadership is good.
Engineering here has turned into factory work. Managers too busy to do more than paperwork. Career growth limited by old boy network.
Inside sales account manager
Management always trying to make things better; good products; lots of talented smart people; generous time off; good benefits
Customers complaints about too many rep changes; unrealistic and unattainable goals
Account executive
The people at Dell make the shop amazing. I’m at some of the most talented inspiring people that I am now fortunate to call my friends. There are tons of opportunities for gift cards and extra incentives. Brought in Lunch is almost always guaranteed. PTO and benefits are nice. There is an opportunity to make decent money here if you have the grind and get a nice account set. All in all this is a great job for fresh out of college (basically the office demographic). I would say if you are a pro or seasoned sales person, try your luck elsewhere. Experience is not rewarded here.
There are too many levels of management. Sales managers don’t know what’s going on. The communication from higher levels is not consistent. There are fire drill changes changes, including Pay and account sets. The work can feel mind numbing. Constant cold calls and you have to extremely motivated
Software engineer -2
- People at Dell are kind and hardworking - 401(k) match - Good benefits - In the US, you automatically get the week of Christmas off
- 5x a week in office - No growth for current remote employees - Takes a while to get promoted

Fun people, job is not fun, you learn how to sell
Job is not fun, micro managed, just in a call center all day
Tech is surprisingly forward leaning. Solid infra, solid hardware and ops culture. Pretty deep technical depth in operations, Dell.com is a huge website so the engineering to keep it going is truly impressive
Incompetent and at times toxic management. Clueless leadership decisions and RTO

There are good orgs and teams, if you are lucky to get them that is.
Pay structure and overall compensation is quite low compared to industry standards.
Great pay and benefits within the company.
Small pay increases after over performing.

Flexible work schedule, helpful team
A lot of changes ongoing and processes are sometimes not communicated properly.

Compensation scale not as per market standards and growth opportunities are less.
Principal product manager
Dell used to have good work life balance and some innovative work was happening in some teams. Good benefits and leave policies. Immediate managers are supportive.
Currently, its all fear of lay offs and 5 days a week work from office and pushing people at their limit doing mundane work.
