Outside of the team, upper management does not communicate anything of value. Everything happening is kept secret. Lack of trust.

There are no cons to tell

Advancement to management should be expected to be slow to none, as the orgs are very flat.

If you prefer in person experiences, I recommend starting out hybrid first, I feel like impressions are easier to make

The disregard for employee wellbeing is by far the largest con of the company in it's current form.

-I firmly believe that sales rep matters in most cases, but at Dell it’s blind luck on if you get a good account set or not. I’ve seen the best reps struggle to hit 50% quota and some the worst walk into 500k deals with no real value added to the conversation or sale. -base salary atrocious.

Understaffed Underpaid Doing senior level task, but did not get promotion due to budget They took away WFO policy and asked everyone to go back to the office, but did not give back the travel / transportation allowance which was taken away during the pandemic

Lot of diverse people and it is kinda hard to navigate

Not receiving stock options or RSUs, not bought into long term company vision, constant reorganizations and layoffs, glass ceiling for young team members

1. They will recruit freshers and ask you to train them as you are in mid level, 2. Then they will move you out very swiftly and keep the freshers

There is no career growth in the team

Constant restructuring can create uncertainty within teams

They loop you in with a base pay that's severely low, but offer a 10k signing bonus paid throughout your first year. You're in probably the sorriest excuse for a sales academy (Unless you're specifically poached from the gods themselves, 150+ years of sales experience, or are the child of anyone over upper middle management, you will have to go through sales academy). Three months of force feeding you the koolaid and learning the crm and other software. They change the pay structure so much even the managers can't tell us how we get paid. They hire too many damn salespeople to the point where there aren't any accounts sets to be handed out. They also hire any college student that applies. You're hiring absolutely slop. You're getting paid actual civil rights era wages compared to the competition.

No career opportunities. Money could be better.

Senior leadership killed the culture of the company. Top talent has left, and there is no clear vision (other than selling AI stuff, which is a reflection of a lack of vision).
