No upward mobility in career

Pay is not on track with the role. Company randomly decides when to move the goal post for promotions and Goals. Good luck.

You answer to the shareholders. Management is usually just following metrics and not concerned about the marketplace or the people on their team. Burnout is real here. Not a 40 hour job.

Used to be an inclusive, supportive, generous culture. I left a toxic environment with poor leadership and no career opportunities.

toxic corperate energy through and through. Its KPI's first, not "ideas". Everyone is playing their own game and there no inviation to be unique. either follow their stupid standards and procedures or see the door. Not a place for young individuals to grow.

Bloat in software and silos make progress very difficult.

Current scarce of career growth opportunities, salary not competitive

Less exposure to new technologies

Oncall shift might be tough. Need to go onsite within 2-3 hours after duty calls even midnight. But we get some allowance for shift call.

One area for improvement could be the management style in some cases. While many leaders are excellent, there are instances where Slovak managers may take their roles a bit too seriously or get involved in matters that don’t necessarily require their attention. In contrast, American managers often demonstrate a more balanced and empowering approach.
