Hours are bad, and extra-hours are not paid (even if illegal). Overall stressful, and can even be toxic if unlucky with the team. Be loud, make your demands clear and you will most likely be OK.

Promotion readiness criteria lack transparency and clarity. Client work should be given higher priority than firm contribution work when evaluating promotions. Employees are often required to work on multiple projects simultaneously, in addition to firm-level contributions. Promotions have become very rare in recent years. Even achieving a 5-star performance rating does not guarantee a promotion, which impacts motivation and career clarity.

More difficult to go to higher positions.

The most unethical places to work for — the enabling functions area is very toxic, the worst I’ve seen in years. Senior partners and partners are making unrealistic decisions with biased views. Deloitte promotes ‘values’, yet the partners don’t stand by them. I’ve seen some really worrying things happening and am just waiting for someone to whistle-blow externally. The concerning thing is that HR and Legal have been seen to show support and workarounds on situations. And unfortunately seems like the UK CEO is aware but not doing anything about it.

Poor hike No fix time of work

Working in non government space, or with bad leadership, or on smaller contracts can result in some bad work environments so you need to be careful with the projects you pick. The pay scales pretty slowly and it can be below what big tech might pay. Pretty stupid year end requirements, essentially make you work for free one some iniatives for the company.

I have 4+ full time experience before joining Deloitte, but since the role was not in a consulting firm, I was only hired as a Consultant level with fairly low pay.

Salary is less for campus hire

Hard to get on projects. Don’t like remote work

Bad projects- they dont have quality projdcts

Haven’t found any flaws as such

No WLB particularly in audit department.

They will warn you about taking too many cig breaks wheb there's literally no work to do
