Senior engineer
Open-minded and technically strong supervisors. Freedom to learn and develop. Lots of opportunity and exposure. Good job security. Good colleagues. Good culture.
Low salary, sometimes much lower than market rate, thus bleeding talents. Need promotion for good/fair adjustment, otherwise, low annual increment, can't even beat inflation.

If you are seeking work-life balance, this may not be the right place for you. The workload is demanding, and promotions are not accompanied by proper offer letters and salary increment. Additionally, leadership is lacking despite the technical expertise of senior staff. Compensation for the role is below expectations, and overall, my experience here has been deeply disappointing.

Engineer
1. Decent culture 2. Average pay 3. Decent Bonus 4. Chances for Advancement is there (although if you are too good at your role, decent chance you will be forced to stay.) As a vendor this is definitely one of the better ones.
1. Heavily profit focused which means that sales is always looking to get new contracts. Hiring on the engineering side can never keep up which means that everyone is pulling on the same small pool of people to deliver the end product. 2.Very easy to be overworked. Bosses will show concern if you express unhappiness but unlikely that anything will come of it. 3. Hybrid wfh model applies only to those who have the luxury of being stationed at the main office. If you are stationed on site this does not apply to you and neither do a lot of the HR initiatives. Easy to feel left out.
