Wrong decision making from Human resources team, wrong hiring.

Have None at this time.

Health Insurance is crap, Burnout culture - you get promoted if you wear burnout like a badge of honor and stay bottom rung if you maintain boundaries at work

Can have really busy days

Is hard to leave when you start working there

- Not enough PTO! This was my biggest complaint. Basically no time off. - Most employees are on full-time hourly contracts instead of salaries, which makes it easy for the company to cut as many jobs as will make the board/stockholders happy at any given moment - Lots of restructuring and layoffs means little to no job security — could happen to you and your team at any time - Disorganized company goals from upper management - C-suite and execs get paid a ridiculous amount in comparison to folks at the bottom of the ladder (for example, the CEO's total compensation in 2023 was $55.5 million) - You'll find it increasingly hard to justify the company's layoffs and other cost-saving measures in light of the above

None, every thing with Marriott is really good

Benefits perks and total package is usually not high

long hours, pto is not flexible

Basically everything a very pissy director of sales long working hours and just micro management at its peak. Do not work here

angry guests, call volume can be busy at times

During Covid I didn’t feel very appreciated.

Hard schedule sometimes but good

Would love a better communication throughout the hotel

Managers need to work on interactions with team members

50-60hr minimum. Actual role is kitchen supervisor. Treated like a glorified line cook for $2 more/hr

The W hotel is designed horribly (only one staff elevator???) and the upper management is terrible

There are no real cons to working here

Being that it's a really large corporation, it's not impervious to how bureaucracy creates silos.

Days where you can leave with barley any money in tips.

tips are taxed, and we only get paid every 2 weeks

not such a competitive salary

low salary, lots of unpaid overtime for the admin side, bad management, leaders doesnt care about their staff wellbeing, only knows to point the bad side of staff instead of their achievement, high turnover

Not a good community for it

Depending on who owns the structure/building. Staffing may be cut to meet certain expectations so your workload may be high.
