There are not many downfalls,as a Marriott Employee.

Workload depending on property and lay offs. They do offer decent lay off packages, however.

Only con is working on heat

Can be really traditional, and sometimes too much. A lot of standards and compliances to follow, very strict.

Managers are on rotation after a few months at a time which is not ideal for relationship-building

Pay is transparent and fair from individual to individual however it’s on the lower end throughout the industry.

Work at night and can be very lonely at times.

Hard work, F&B and function combined double jobs finish late to turn over the room Team are not professional, full with kids

Reorg - TBD. Organization in transition so its hard to determine what the core values are.

Better management and needs to have proper equipment

After working remote for a few years now i can imagine it would be hard to be on site every day

Union seniority is very difficult .

Progression is not the best

Occasionally difficult customer, might have scheduling issues.

Expecting you work on machinery you have no experience or training on, changing the job you applied for, clueless management

Health Insurance is crap, Burnout culture - you get promoted if you wear burnout like a badge of honor and stay bottom rung if you maintain boundaries at work

Pay is average and could but more open to opinions from non management staff.

Work pressure, lengthy shifts for beginners, low salary

Politics, too much verticals, less focus on customer centricity

There weren’t any cons while working there.

Overtime with no pay. Management does not listen or allow for any change.

For most Voyagers there isn't a set schedule and dependent on the managers in the property. If you don't take ownership, the managers will not push you as much as you can.

The discounts aren't as good anymore
