I would not consider it a real downside but for the people who don't have experience working with the teams in different time zones may struggle a bit initially. There could be early morning or late afternoon meetings depending on the location of the other team.

Very thorough and efficient hiring process. Phone interview followed by a virtual video interview with the manager I would be working for. Followed by an in-person interview where I was asked to present. After about a week was asked to meet (virtually) with the Regional manager. A follow up call with manager to schedule a virtual meeting with the National Manager. About a week later got a verbal offer followed by a written offer. After written offer was accepted, got an official start date. The Onboarding specialist was phenomenal in making sure I was ready to go by my start date. Got my ID issued and mailed to me, as well as laptop. Throughout this process, was in constant contact with my Manager, Very efficient all around. All levels of management were extremely professional. HR personnel were extremely professional as well. Very smooth and efficient hiring process. So far, loving working for Motorola. Very innovative company, forward thinking and mission driven. Very smart and dedicated people working here. The culture is fantastic.

Since this contribution is strictly related to onboarding, Motorola's onboarding and first few weeks of orientation has been the most memorable of any company for which I've worked. It is important for new employees to know and understand the beginnings and evolution of the company for which they will be working. It sets the work going forward into some perspective that it is not just a job, but an experience of putting your best into something that has value and may make an enormous difference and impact in improved quality of life.
Change, as with everything in life, is inevitable. New "values" arrive with each employee and generation and it is up to executive management at the time to interpret and navigate that which is passing and temporary, and that which is foundational. To make the oftentimes hard decisions is why they are in those positions. So, the con would be, as for any very large corporation, not all change is good, but the sooner that one in authority can recognize, admit, and rectify it with transparency, the cons become less and real, true service progress and productivity can be at the heart of the work.

- low pay for first role, promotion roles are great - territory/vertical can be challenging (there are resources to help this) - lot's of moving parts in terms of other teams you work with in sales, we've acquired a lot of new companies that all try together - there's bound to be issues

This take a good bit of time to change or be agile due to size and bureaucracy of large enterprise business. Not unique in this issue.
