give u some work out
it will take the whole day
Company is fast growing and you get quite a few opportunities, albeit things tend to be a bit messy.
Poor pay and poor management.
There are lots of events where you can unwind
Bad management, poor benefits, slow
It is a pay check
Founders do not value quality people, and yet are surprised when the business flouders and nothing is achieved
The team was very warm and welcoming when I joined as an intern and was patient in showing me the ropes. I am also thankful that my boss was very flexible in letting me adjust my working hours and days whenever I had a school exam or an external appointment to attend.
Not Applicable to my experience
- fast paced and great learning environment - virtually no bureaucracy - everyone is encouraged to give ideas - officemates are mostly easy to get along with - everyone is aligned with corporate strategy I always recommend fresh grads/young professionals to invest working for a start-up because of the reasons listed above. Ninja Van is a fast growing company and I've felt fully empowered to contribute as much to the business as I can. We're also encouraged to give our feedback if we believe it is beneficial to the company even if you're in a different department.
- salary is average at best - basic benefits - no OT pay - long work hours There's a reason why I put its a great place for young people. The benefits are virtually non-existent so older professionals might not have the patience to wait for a better package deal from management.
- nice people, friendly start up culture - approachable managers who are willing to guide fresh grads and new joiners - room for growth and new projects if you're willing to try something out of your job scope
- better structure should be built as business grows - operational matters should be resolved instead of plastering band aid solutions
quite alot of breaks provided
rude management from team lead
Fast growing, constantly evolving environment
New meaning to getting your hands dirty
- they claim to care about work/life balance - you will be cared for as long as you care about THEIR bottom line - if you get a good manager/boss, then you are lucky (for now) - they will not like it when you get to your comfort zone, they will always challenge you out of it. - they will sometimes scrape some money together to have events, and you can either participate, organize or skip it. First 5 years, I participated and 1 time, I helped the organizers. Nowadays, I just skip it. It's all propaganda to make you love the company. But if you see through it, it's a cheap show. - if you are Type A, challenge yourself and like to make you grow -> then I have good news for you, this is a great place for you to make your name.
- they are exactly like any other company, profit comes first, staff come second. Which is to be expected, don't come in here expecting that they will be kind. They will give you some rope, and you can either make something with it, or hang yourself with it. It's what you do with it. - they have some really heartless managers who will torture you and tell you that "it's for your own development" or "I'm doing this for you to grow". It's a cruel way to grow a person, and they will eventually give you Stockholm Syndrome, where you will come to love your torturers and captors. - I started with a gaslighting evil boss, then went to a hands-off (what I thought to be an enlightened boss), and now I'm with another boss who doesn't communicate well, gaslights me at every opportunity. All in the name of "Oh I'm doing this for your good". - Mental health is NOT a priority here. If you have mental health issues, be prepared to deal with it on your OWN. - if you are a Type B person, one who likes to sit and be in the comfort zone, then my friend, you can work here for 2-3 years tops before you feel the heat coming for you, like Will Smith coming up to slap you.
