Manager
Veeam management team supports your personal development and is eager to listen to business improvement ideas.
You need to be very active and a thick skin
Enterprise account manager
Young company with potential for the future
Delay in decisions and nonexistent meritocracy
Renewal sales representative
The snacks and that’s it!
Micro managing Your not treated as an adult Hires younger people to pay them less Required to be at your desk at all times No flexibility Daily metrics are ridiculous
Senior support engineer
relatively big international company. A good place to get knowledge and experience. Wast spectrum of used technologies -> opportunity develop yourself in different directions.
Due to company growth, more products are released, so you need to keep up. The support job is quite stressful overall. you always work with people (customers) who come with their problems, which you need to solve. Big risk to burn out
Vice president sales
All good - good product good support good people work remote ok benefit good growth opportunities travel if you like that
None to think of Benefits could be better but that is everywhere Expenses are a pain but expected Lots of change lately
Customer success manager
Market leader Great benefits Good pay High quality products Well established customer base Most managers are amazing Tons of career opportunities and they like to hire and promote from within.
Lots of red tape Global sprawl can make communication a slower than it should be
Inside channel manager
some people are professional Insurance benefits good
If you read a good review its because the managers ask for employees to write reviews that are good to bring up the rating
Technical support engineer
-Pay -Visibility to multiple Technology Stack even though it's a bit limited.
- No streamlined process and workflow yet. Hoping it'll improve
Anonymous employee
Reasonable product with a good reputation in the market
Dreadful management locally. Siloed with no leadership. Too much politics and everyone out for themselves. Little or no teamwork. High staff turnover.
Products are great and lead the industry.
Company has a direction, but not all employees are a part of it.
Sales
salary internal promotion good trainings great coworkers
no cons for me until now
Cloud manager
Great people and a great product. Very dynamic and customer centric
A lot of middle management
Sales engineer
This is a Great place to work!
Can also be a bad place to work!
Flexibility, co-workers, managers, atmosphere, Ratmir and team are back!
This year: High Level Execs, too many changes, comp plans. But, it sounds like all of this will be changing in 2019. The OG Execs are back and everyone is looking forward to what ever they have planned.
You can leave one day. Good opportunity for people with little/no experience in the industry to start in IT.
Field is neglected and competes with the inside sales team for control of deals. Pay is WELL below market for field roles. Quotas are extremely high to keep OPEX down. Management, particularly in the West, is very poor, inexperienced, lacks vision, and lacks even the most basic idea of how to run a sales team.
Business development manager
Young culture and successful company that is growing very fast. Great overseas trips and fun people
SMB product trying to be an Enterprise player. Need to develop a mature company culture. Mainly hire young inexpensive inside sales people. High sales turnover.
Public cloud engineer
Good workload, good teammates, good enterprise vision, nice comms, overall good enterprise
Could work on more benefits for employees
Systems engineer
Veeam has a great technology and has a fast, paced, dynamic culture. There is very little red-tape which means that you can just get on with your job without unnecessary procedures blocking your way. The huge growth still makes it exciting and there is a genuine buzz around the place, yet despite the growth Veeam has still maintained its start-up style culture. The social-side is also good, with lots of events and opportunities to get together socially with your local and wider team. Veeam certainly play as hard as they work.
The 'just get on with it' culture does not appeal to those who prefer to hide behind corporate policies, because there aren't any. This means you have to be self-suffcient and make things happen on your own. This can be a big shock if you are from a big company like Microsoft. The only other con is a lack of any clear career path which is why people leave in the end, not because they don't like it - it's great (see above) - but because they have to leave in the end to progress their careers. To be fair, Veeam sort of expects that and leaving is generally a no-fuss affair unless you go to a competitor.
Sales representative
Positive work environment in sales
too much throw it up at the wall and see if it sticks
Inside sales representative (isr)
Wfh, benefits and Healthcare. Flexible time schedule. Salary.
Pressure to meet deadlines, internal competition
Channel manager
Super cool team, very flexible work culture.
Small value deals and smb targeted approach
Competitive salaries and great product
Can be difficult to progress
Customer success representative
everything everything everything everything everything
nothing nothing nothing nothing nothing
Senior ppc manager
Cool team, many perks, many opportunities for professional development
For me it was no cons
- Strong Vision - Quick turnaround of Product updates/features/versions - Excellent customer support - Technological industry leadership - Consistent sales growth and marketshare - Top positions in industry analyst reports (Gartner, IDC) - Extremely friendly and strong employee culture
- none, really ! - everyday is a fun day, nothing to complaint
Solutions architect
Team, management and culture are amazing
No processes, relocation blockers, communication with R&D
A fast growing company with a lot of opportunities. The salary is above the average for the Romanian market.
If your manager is in a different country you will not have too many opportunities to see him and interact face to face.
Customer care representative
Great benefits, raised twice a year plus extra medical care and a fitness centre. The friendliest team ever in my experience. Lots of opportunities to grow and learn.
None really. It's easy to shift your work/life balance but only due to the reason that you've got extra reward for working extra hours, and a lot of guys need cash and hence ignore their managers' reminders to stick to a normal working day. Noone will disapprove you for not overworking.
1. Really well-structured corporate culture which is very important for a new employee, especially for a young professional: training sessions with newcomers, regular meetings with your teammates and your line manager, lots of useful materials available online etc. 2. Salary. Even though many people complain about this bit, I disagree. I think it's still one of the highest in the market (at least in the region where i used to work). Pay raise also happens every year which is a very positive thing. 3. Business trips. A very pleasant "bonus" here. You get to represent the company at different international IT events and participate in business meetings with your field colleagues. 4. Good employee benefits, such as healthcare, gym etc. Healthcare is simply fantastic. All necessary procedures are covered completely. 5. Pretty flexible in terms of taking "personal days" - no limits on that one. 6. Last but not least - the product is simply fantastic, hence it is just a pleasure to sell it, talk to customers about it and present it. You simply feel good while doing that which is already a reward in a way.
1. AWFUL CRAZY MICROMANAGEMENT. No room to grow, your ideas and decisions are not heard and nobody cares about what you have in mind and what you can suggest to make a change. 2. Promotions are only for those who act like mad people in some sort of sect, blindly do what they are told, not ever sharing their opinion, but instead only repeating the company mantras. If you actually have your own way of working and you are not involved in all possible corporate stuff and don't show off every single minute, then you will never be seen and promoted, regardlesss of how good your actual professional results are. I can also add here that there are too many absolutely useless roles in the company: team leads of some teams that simply don't need any team lead, basically promotions for some people just for the sake of promoting them because they just do what is mentioned above. 3. NO respect for employees who have been with the company for quite a while. These people are completely neglected and forgotten and when they leave because they are just tired of this nonsense, nobody tries to keep them. They will just let you go and wave. 4. Frequent cases of miscommunication between departments - or, better yet, lack of communication competely. Certain individuals in the management team also try to hide some news, cover something up etc. which results in people finding out something through other channels - WORST POSSIBLE SCENARIO.
1: Good work live balance 2: Amazing team 3: Good work culture 4: Work from home 5: Great product 6: Opportunity for growth
Sometime customers could be demanding and try to put a lot of pressure on you. But again, where is the fun without any challenges as such sometime.
Best place I have ever worked
Not sure of the current direction
compensation package is decent company culture is very open-minded and inclusive, makes you feel at home some of the colleagues that left veeam came right back because they found "there's actually nothing better in the job market right now"
benefits package for some of the countries is not so appealing career growth is non-linear and comprehensive, only possible if you switch to another department higher management does not always take into account regional needs and capacities
Young team, comfortable atmosphere, high salaries
It's difficult to keep the private life / work balance
Benefits are okay, especially if you are a field sales
Too much office politics. Management pretends they care but it is all fake. They only care about the Sales Target numbers and if you suck up to them.
Nice people in the office
No pinball machines yet unfortunately :P
Sales manager
Grow opportunities Good Benefits Package
Remote workers cannot work from abroad
Inside sales
Nice team, nice office, the product Veeam B&R is grate, really nice to sell it , alot of positive feedback from costumers.
The training is horrible. They put you to learn all this technical stuf from some videos, webex sessions, etc even if you dont need some of that stuff. They dont provide a good and understanding training. All it s messed up and complicated. You will figure most out in the first couple of months on your own. The management, push some ideas that you will have to value all the time you ar in Veeam. It s Veeam way, or no way! If you want to take holidays , you cant in the last month of the firts tree quaters and the whole last quater, so basicly from 12 months, 6 of them are excluded from holidays.
Great culture. Company is growing.
None I can think of.
Inside sales representative
Very easy job and pays very well
none to report all is well
Inside sales associate
The sun shines through the windows, only on sunny days though
Call center mentality, micro-micro managed, about to install "security" access cards to monitor how many times you use the restroom, what time you come to work, what time you leave, etc. They sell you on team environment and promotions from within but dont be fooled. Many individuals take sole credit for the success of a territory even if they were waiting tables a short while ago. Private "one on ones" kill team spirit, managers get fellow employees to spy and do the dirty work on fellow team mates. Outside team gets all the praise/money for doing nothing.
Territory manager
Have the best product on the market!
Awful Management! Micromanage to the extreme and extremely stressful work environment!
Good product that fills a market need. Leads are provided and there is prospect interest. Training is provided. Company promotes from within. Inside sales and webinar demo driven which is appropriate for the price point and product function.
Company had a young workforce and was in transition, reorganizing teams and regions. There were changes in personnel during my time there and in management the following year, which has probably stabilized since then.
Channel sales
Fast paced environment, hustle mentality, team oriented, growth opportunities
I can’t think of anything
Monitoring engineer
Fast growth company. Fruits Coffee
A lot of employees. Hard to self expression.
Inside channel developer
Good salary and recognition for your hard work.
What you should expect: follow the rules, meet expectations or move away.
Customer support engineer
Managers do listen to their employees, and take action based on feedback. There's a strong effort towards work/life balance, and people are actually encouraged to take time off to rest and relax. The workplace is amazing, communication is strong inside and between teams.
I really have no cons to listen. Sure, sometimes some customers may be a bit antagonistic, but it turns into a pro, because the company doesn't accept customers abusing the employees, so if anything happens, you can report it to your manager, and Customer Care management will have a chat with the customer.
Your peers and team are the only thing that will help you keep it together.
Salary is below market, upper management is clueless. There is a complete disconnect between what we are supposed to be doing to what is asked of us to do. No career path advancement. No support from your direct manager. No real human care factor. It is not the Veeam of 5 years ago. They have lost what truly made it special.
I really enjoyed working at Veeam until I was laid off. The company culture has started to change a bit, but otherwise, it was a great place to work with flexibility, good pay and growth.
Layoffs and company culture change
Cloud engineer
Everything´s great! I love it here!
Maybe that they are new on the country, so I didn´t know about them before
Good salary Friendly environment Flexible working time Internal learning programs
Not many perspectives for career growth No will to change company inefficient rules to keep up with the progress
