The Accounting Executive (Mandarin Speaker) is responsible for managing full set accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role plays a critical part in the financial health of the organization by overseeing various accounting functions and collaborating with different departments.

Job Description

In this position, the Accounting Executive will engage in daily accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. The work environment is dynamic, requiring collaboration with junior staff and other departments to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle full set accounting tasks including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and manage journal entries.
  • Produce accurate financial reports and monitor company cash flow.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with taxation and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee internal controls and accounting processes.
  • Supervise inventory and costing accuracy.
  • Manage banking and treasury functions.
  • Provide leadership and collaboration with junior staff.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in retail, trading, or interior/furniture industries.

Strong technical knowledge of Malaysia accounting standards, SST, payroll, and compliance.

Proficient in accounting software such as SQL, AutoCount, or Xero, and Microsoft Excel.

Must be able to communicate, read, and write in Mandarin.
