This Accounts Executive role involves managing financial accounts, daily sales reporting, and financial oversight for retail operations. The position requires preparing monthly management accounts and consolidating sales data from multiple outlets while ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
The role involves preparing a full set of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, along with supporting schedules. Responsibilities include managing journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also entails maintaining proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes and liaising with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries as needed. Additionally, the role requires consolidating daily sales reports from multiple outlets, reconciling sales with various payment methods and POS systems, and reporting any irregularities. The position involves tracking retail sales performance, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, and supporting inventory reconciliation. Finally, the role provides support in accounts payable and receivable processes including invoice processing, payment tracking, and collections follow-up.
Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience in accounting including full set of accounts.
Experience with MFRS standards.
Experience in retail, F&B, or entertainment industry is highly preferred.
Familiarity with outlet-based sales reporting and reconciliation.
Proficient in SQL accounting software.
Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets.
Knowledge of POS system flows, online sales platforms, and QR payments.
Meticulous, organized, and able to work independently.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Sense of urgency.
Able to handle multiple outlets and fast-paced operations.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Experience in managing group accounts with multiple entities or outlets is an added advantage.
Familiarity with Malaysian tax (SST), audit processes, and corporate compliance is an added advantage.
Exposure to sales analysis and cost control related to ticketing or retail attractions is an added advantage.
