Role Summary
The Application Maintenance/Production Support Engineer is responsible for monitoring and maintaining enterprise applications. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system stability and performance optimization within the GIPS - SBE Build sub-domain.
Job Description
In this role, you will engage in day-to-day monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of applications running on Linux-based platforms. You will collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor enterprise applications on Linux-based platforms.
- Troubleshoot application and middleware issues effectively.
- Support incident resolution and performance optimization.
- Ensure system stability with minimal downtime.
- Optimize Unix scripts and SQL queries for performance.
- Assist in deployment and patching activities for applications.
- Collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience with Linux-based applications and middleware technologies.
Familiarity with incident management and root cause analysis.
Knowledge of Oracle and MySQL databases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
