Job Description

The Assistant Front Office Manager assists the Front Office Manager in overseeing front office functions and supervising staff, including Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk. This role involves directing and collaborating with managers and employees to ensure efficient check-in and check-out processes, guest and employee satisfaction, and maximizing the department's financial performance.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related professional area, or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major with no work experience required.

Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others while demonstrating honesty and integrity.

Capable of supervising and managing employees, understanding employee roles, and performing duties in their absence.

Experience in managing day-to-day front office operations and maintaining quality and service standards.

Skills in handling complaints, settling disputes, resolving grievances, and negotiating.

Ability to collaborate with management to improve departmental service and communicate goals effectively.

Proficiency in providing exceptional customer service, coaching employees, and handling guest problems and complaints.

Knowledge of implementing customer recognition and service programs and ensuring policy compliance.

Strong communication skills to provide timely information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates.

Capable of functioning in the absence of the Front Office Manager and participating in departmental meetings.
