This role involves following production sheets, recipes, and quality standards to prepare and cook food, maintaining kitchen logs for food safety compliance, and safely using baking tools and equipment. The position also requires monitoring food quality and portions, assisting management with various staff-related tasks, adhering to company policies and safety procedures, and maintaining a professional appearance and positive working relationships within the team.
Knowledge of preparing breads and pastries including doughs, fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating.
Ability to follow production sheets, recipes, and food quality and presentation standards.
Ability to maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance.
Skill in using baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances safely and appropriately.
Understanding of and compliance with food safety handling policies and personal hygiene procedures.
Capability to monitor quality and portion control of food prepared during shifts.
Willingness to assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
Adherence to company policies and procedures including safety and security protocols.
Ability to maintain a clean and professional personal appearance and protect company assets.
Effective communication skills for professional interaction and telephone etiquette.
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and handle sensitive issues respectfully and confidentially.
Physical ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance and to work on various surfaces and postures for extended periods.
