The Contract Specialist role involves supporting contract management teams across various projects and accounts, working with account management, client commercial, and business stakeholders to understand and address client needs and priorities. This position supports identification, escalation, and resolution of commercial and contract risks and issues, collaborates with contract management and project teams to secure optimal outcomes for all parties, and assists in pre-award sales activities including contract drafting and discussions with sales and delivery teams. The role requires engagement in client-facing activities to build trusted relationships with client counterparts.
Ability to analyze and solve moderately complex problems.
Understanding of strategic direction set by senior management.
Capability to work under guidance when determining methods and procedures on new assignments.
Experience managing small teams and/or work efforts at a client or within an organization.
Strong communication skills to interact with peers, management levels, clients, and internal teams.
Ability to support contract management activities across multiple projects, accounts, and geographies.
Skills to identify, escalate, and resolve commercial and contract risks and issues.
Competency in supporting pre-award sales activities including contract drafting and deal discussions.
Client-facing orientation with ability to build trusted relationships with client counterparts.
Basic knowledge of contract management and commercial risk principles.
