The Lead Devops Engineer (Onsite) at Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice works on scalable enterprise applications, focusing on agile development and continuous improvement. The engineer collaborates closely with product managers, designers, and clients to deliver valuable software rapidly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to define software requirements.
- Design and maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitOps, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes (AKS, GKE, OpenShift).
- Implement security best practices and tools such as SonarQube and JFrog Artifactory.
- Manage feature deployments with LaunchDarkly.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues independently.
Job Requirements
8+ years of experience in developing and building high-performing enterprise applications.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
10+ years in IT infrastructure and operations.
5+ years hands-on DevOps experience.
Understanding of HIPAA and SOC2 compliance requirements.
