Role Summary
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and operational readiness of jetty facilities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining and enhancing marine infrastructure that supports safe and efficient port operations.
Job Description
The Maintenance Engineer will work closely with the Head of Sungai Udang Port Sdn Bhd and the Manager, Jetty Maintenance to oversee jetty engineering and maintenance activities. The role involves a dynamic work environment focused on technical problem-solving and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement maintenance strategies for jetty facilities.
- Manage and control jetty engineering activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSSE regulations and procedures.
- Conduct project risk assessments and job safety analyses.
- Oversee contractor performance and budget control.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes.
Job Requirements
Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Technology or equivalent.
Minimum of five years’ experience in maintenance of petrochemical jetty or single point mooring system.
Strong understanding of project planning and execution.
Proven experience in petrochemical jetty maintenance activities.
Knowledgeable in HSSE regulations and procedures.
