The Management Consultant in Utilities brings industry knowledge, process expertise, and cutting-edge technology to clients in the Utilities industry to deliver business value. The role involves working with leading Utilities clients, managing complex change initiatives, and integrating solutions to meet evolving business challenges. The consultant utilizes experience in Utilities retail and customer service processes to design, implement, and deliver enhanced capabilities, leads large CIS implementation projects, and communicates complex requirements between technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position requires travel to client sites and ownership of the delivery process from start to finish.
Minimum experience of 5 to 11 years in Utilities Retail with implementation experience.
Understanding of different business processes in Utility Industry (Regulated and Deregulated).
Ability to independently define solutions for complex projects or contribute to solutions for programs.
Specialization in a technology, domain, or functional competency area with capability to prepare a roadmap.
Experience in practice reusable component inventory and knowledge management.
Experience in large program assignments, defining business and technological solutions to implement new business processes and capabilities.
Program management skills for large, complex business programs delivering digitally enabled solutions.
Ability to drive business readiness and deployment activities.
Capability to identify opportunities through existing relationships and networking.
Extensive knowledge of System Integration projects to provide insightful recommendations based on analysis.
Skills to provide executives with strategies and tools for high organizational performance.
Leadership ability in thought leadership, solutioning, and demand management, including team utilization responsibility.
Experience applying Utilities Retail process knowledge to build better customer solutions.
Ability to conduct functional solution workshops and identify client requirements related to Utility billing, payments, meter reads, credit, and collections.
Domain experience in electricity, gas, or water utilities is advantageous.
Good business communication skills with strong ability to explain complex concepts, creative and proactive thinking, and adaptability.
